Wine Routes & Wine Tasting
Not too far from Bloubergstrand is one of the most notorious wine-growing
areas in South Africa, the Durbanville and Stellenbosch Wine Routes
enjoy one of the best climates for the production of wine in South Africa.
Nestling on the slopes of the Tygerberg Hills, Durbanville is one
of South Africa's smallest wine routes. It consists of 7 estates and
11 farms producing high-quality grapes for other wineries and cellars.
Then a bit further from Bloubergstrand but definitely worth a day's
outing is the world premier wine route of Stellenbosch. The Stellenbosch
American Express® Wine Routes include 5 sub-routes which each have
their own characteristics in terms of prominent wine styles, climates
and geographical location.
